Puget Sound Business Journal: Business in downtown Seattle has fallen off the cliff due to COVID-19
Downtowns are fragile places, Downtown Seattle Association CEO Jon Scholes said.
They depend on high volumes of office workers and tourists, both of which are in short supply due to the spread of the coronavirus.
“It feels like a big punch in the gut, plus an uppercut and a left jab,” Scholes said. “And it feels like we’re still in the early rounds.”
